Become Part of the Barba Kieli Olive Grove
At Barba Kieli, nestled in the countryside of Rabat, Malta, we offer the opportunity to adopt an olive tree and become part of a living Mediterranean tradition.
Our adoption programme is ideal for people who may not have the space to grow a tree of their own but wish to support sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and the preservation of Malta's agricultural heritage.
Every adopted tree receives year-round care from our team and becomes a lasting contribution to the environment.
Your adoption includes:
✅ Personalised tree identification
✅ Adoption certificate
✅ Updated tree photographs every six months
✅ Professional cultivation and care
✅ Up to 500g of olives from your tree when seasonal production permits
✅ Delivery within Malta and Gozo
An olive tree is much more than a plant.
It represents sustainability, tradition, resilience, and the Mediterranean way of life. By adopting a tree, you directly support responsible farming practices while helping maintain one of Malta's most important agricultural landscapes.
Olive trees require continuous attention to remain healthy and productive.
Our programme covers:
Soil cultivation and maintenance
Irrigation management
Pruning and shaping
Nutrient management and fertilisation
Weed control
Pest monitoring and treatment
Disease prevention and care
Every tree is managed using the same standards applied throughout the Barba Kieli groves.
Each grove possesses unique environmental conditions and characteristics.

As olive trees mature, they become stronger, more productive, and increasingly valuable. Long-term adoption supports the continuous development of your tree while contributing to the sustainability of the grove.
All Barba Kieli olive trees are grown in Malta, where olive cultivation has formed part of local agricultural history for centuries.
Our groves combine traditional farming knowledge with modern sustainable practices to produce healthy trees and exceptional extra virgin olive oil.
